  • 1985

    Suemori & Inouye, Inc. is founded by Craig Suemori and Hester Inouye.

  • 1988

    Craig Suemori and Hester Inouye attain their Certified Pension Consultant designations through the American Society of Pension Actuaries. 

  • 2009

    Suemori & Inouye, Inc. is awarded the CEFEX Certification. SI Group was among the first TPA firms in the United States to successfully complete this prestigious independent certification for TPAs.

  • 2010

    Suemori & Inouye, Inc. rebrands itself as SI Group.

  • 2015

    Bonnie Takamiya, CPA joins SI Group as Account Administrator.

  • 2019

    Ellen Kawashima, JD joins SI Group as Vice President and Dori Kaneshiro, CPA joins SI Group as Account Administrator.

  • 2021

    SI Group acquires Choy & Company, Inc. Kathy Choy and Jarvis Nohara join SI Group as Enrolled Actuaries

  • 2024

    SI Group partners with Strongpoint Partners, a tech-enabled financial services platform that provides third-party retirement administration, recordkeeping, and integrated payroll and HR technology solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.
